TOBYHANNA — Angela Miller wiped tears from her eyes Thursday morning at the sight of the new sign dedicating part of Route 611 in Coolbaugh Township to the memory of her husband.
The white letters on green background, reading “Trooper Joshua D. Miller Memorial Highway,” stand not far from where the trooper was fatally wounded in the line of duty June 7.
Located on the northbound shoulder, just south of Coolbaugh Elementary Center, the sign officially designates Route 611 between Interstate 380 and Main Street in Tobyhanna Village, in Miller’s honor.
“Joshua will never be forgotten,” said Miller’s tearful widow, standing with daughters Justine, 16, Breanna, 13, and Joslyn, 3. “People can now see his name and always remember that his actions helped save other lives.
