HARRISBURG – The Rendell administration is weighing a request to send state troopers to bolster Shenandoah’s police force in the wake of federal charges against four officers who have been suspended without pay by the borough.
Steven Crawford, chief of staff to Gov. Ed Rendell, said Thursday that Lt. Col. Frank E. Pawlowski, the state police commissioner, was to visit Shenandoah to discuss law enforcement needs with borough officials. Pawlowski will report his findings to administration officials, Crawford said.
