The girlfriend of the man who shot and killed a Pennsylvania state police trooper in June has been charged with supplying him the gun.
Emily Joy Gross, 24, of Westfield, N.J., is accused of purchasing the firearm and leaving it available to Daniel Autenrieth, who was prohibited from possessing a firearm under the terms of a protection from abuse order, according to state police at Swiftwater.
According to court documents, Gross admitted to police that she was with Autenrieth when she purchased the 9mm handgun and that he provided some of the money for the purchase. She said the gun was then taken to Autenrieth’s house in Pennsylvania and that she never handled the gun again after she returned to her home in New Jersey.
