Pennsylvania State Police are searching for a man they say killed a Monroe County woman and her child in their Effort apartment.
Police said Michael John Parrish, 23, of 2037 Route 115, Chestnuthill Township killed Victoria Marie Adams, 21, and Sidney Michael Parrish, 2, of the same address.
Michael Parrish is still at large and believed to be carrying firearms, police said. Police said Adams was Parrish’s girlfriend and the boy was their son.
Around 11 p.m. Monday, state police responded to Parrish’s residence after gunfire was reported. Troopers found the woman and child dead in the apartment, state police said.
Parrish has been charged with criminal homicide and related offenses, police said.
