Teller Helped Police Officer Rob Bank, Authorities Say

Federal prosecutors today charged a bank teller with robbery, conspiracy to commit bank fraud and making false statements, saying she helped a New York City police officer, Christian A. Torres, carry out two robberies of a Sovereign Bank branch in Lower Manhattan last year, stealing more than $118,000. Continue reading
