Towing company gets $3.25M in state police suit

WILKES-BARRE – A federal jury in Wilkes-Barre on Thursday awarded a $3.25 million verdict to a Monroe County towing operator who claimed two Pennsylvania State Police officials were responsible for him being improperly removed from a referral list to tow vehicles.
The jury ruled in favor of Jimmy A. Schlier of Wreckers International in Tannersville and against state police Major John G. Rice and Lt. David Douglas. Continue reading
